Bolivia’s President Arce inaugurates construction of biodiesel plant

In Bolivia, Telesur reported that the President of Bolivia officially inaugurated the construction of a biodiesel plant named Héroes de Senkata, located in the city of El Alto. According to the report, the construction of this biodiesel facility will require an investment of over $40 million. Bolivian state-owned oil firm YPFB will be in charge of the construction, which will require approximately one year.  The main goal of the new plant will be to reduce the import of fossil fuels. The report also stated that the new biofuels plant is expected to generate 500 direct and 860 indirect jobs once fully operational.
