Repsol trialing 100% renewable diesel in Portugal

In Portugal, the Portugal News reports 53 vehicles will participate in a Repsol pilot test with 100% renewable diesel. The objective is to evaluate its performance and its capacity to reduce CO2 emissions. According to the announcement, the pilot test is carried out in collaboration with companies such as LIDL, Coca-Cola and Elis, and the logistical operators involved in Atlantic Cargo, HAVI, Transportes J Amaral and Transportes Florêncio Silva.

According to a report from NM, over three months 400,000 liters of 100% renewable diesel will be used, which translates into a saving of more than 1,100 tons of CO2. This is equivalent to 27 trips by plane between Lisbon and New York.
