SkyNRG chooses Washington state for $800M, 30M gallon SAF facility

May 22, 2023 |

In Washington state, the Seattle Times newspaper reports that SkyNRG has chosen to build its $800 million sustainable aviation fuel facility, in part thanks to Washington state’s new policy supporting SAF production and speeding up permitting. The 30 million gallon per year facility should be online by 2028 or 2029. The exact location is still being determined as negotiations are ongoing in several communities. A bill pending in the state senate would provide subsidies of up to $2 per gallon.
