In Nebraska, the Omaha World-Herald reports that the state’s senate has unanimously approved an E-15 retail sales bill that will allow gas stations to offer the higher blended fuel, which will now head to the governor’s desk for signature. Some lawmakers were concerned about government overreach and were against the bill in earlier stages, but the objection dissipated in an 46-0 vote on Tuesday. Even though the state is the country’s second largest ethanol producer, it is one of the lowest ethanol consumers.
