Ethanol production rises as maintenance season ends

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports data from the Energy Information Administration shows ethanol production soared 21,000 barrels per week past above the psychological 1 million barrels per day mark to 1.04 million, the highest seen in six weeks. With summer driving season around the corner, increased E15 availability for the summer and plants coming out of their annual maintenance season, production has rebounded in kind. Ethanol imports remained at zero as they have so far this year, while exports averaged 55,000 barrels per day.
