In Indonesia, Bloomberg reports that the country is stepping up its threats of a trade war with Europe over its ban on palm oil for biodiesel from 2020 by telling its domestic airlines to switch to Boeing planes from Airbus as retaliation. Domestic airlines were looking at Airbus after the Boeing 737 MAX-8 crash earlier this year. Indonesia has already threatened to increase the import duty on European dairy in response to the EU’s stance on palm oil biodiesel.
