Ethanol production slides while stocks reach 29-week high

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol production slid to the lowest level in seven weeks to 957,000 barrels per day, down an average of 34,000 bpd. But even as production continues to fall, stocks are soaring as drivers keep off the road due to the pandemic. Stocks last week reached 22.95 million barrels, 867,000 barrels higher than the week prior and more than 1.15 million barrels higher than the same time last year. It was the highest level seen in 29 weeks. Despite soaring stocks levels, the West Coast imported an average of 15,000 bpd.
