Indonesia flipflops on 2021 biodiesel demand estimates

In Indonesia, Reuters reports the government seems to be flipflopping on its plans for biodiesel blending next year, announcing Tuesday that blending will require 9.2 billion liters of biodiesel in 2021 while last week the National Energy Council said it would only require 8.5 billion liters due to COVID-19. The government has been challenged by higher palm oil prices, continued low fossil diesel prices and falling demand due to the pandemic which has turned its subsidy program upside down.
