Sens. Grassley and Klobuchar asks for USDA to quickly bailout ethanol and biodiesel producers

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Senators Chuck Grassley and Amy Klobuchar have written a letter to the Secretary of Agriculture asking for him to release funds to assist ethanol and biodiesel plants as soon as possible. As much as $13 billion in funding from the previous coronavirus relief package was already available in December and has gone unspent, they said, encouraging the secretary to activate those funds immediately after Grassley and others secured the USDA’s ability to use discretionary funds last year.
