Zimbabwe drops decade-long E10 mandate

In Zimbabwe, News Day reports that after a decade of the E10 blending mandate, the national energy regulator has scrapped ethanol blending all together. Ethanol blending in the country has been riddled with controversy from a monopoly supplier and concerns of corruption surrounding it together with environmental challenges that has impeded ethanol production at times that forced the lowering of the mandate to 5% or less, depending on supply availability. The company was often accused of price gouging as well.
