The Digest’s 2022 Multi-Slide Guide to Balancing Feedstock System Performance and Quality

December 29, 2022 |

According to the experts at the Idaho National Laboratory, The feedstock challenge lies in the inherent variability of biomass feedstock affects the ability to optimize processing and conversion processes, ultimately decreasing plant economics. So, the goal becomes to maximize biorefinery economics by better process quality control of feedstock leading to greater plant availability and predictable yields of high-value biofuels and co-products. The how and where and when? Damon S. Hartley, Group/Technical Lead, Operations Research and Analysis, and David N. Thompson, INL Chief Scientist for Bioenergy presented these slides at ABLC Next 2022.
