TAM successfully trials jatropha-based aviation biofuel

In Brazil, TAM Airlines has held a successful 45-minute test flight running on 50% bio-SPK produced from local jatropha. The CFM56 engined A320 took off from Galeão Antonio Carlos Jobim International airport in Rio de Janeiro. The trial was held in conjunction with Airbus.
