University of Illinois researcher says bull run on biodiesel margins may be short

In Illinois, a researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne says biodiesel margins are likely to stay in the black this year thanks to the upcoming expiry of the $1 per gallon biodiesel blending credit, as has been the case when it expired in 2011 and 2013, but the bull trend may not lost as long due to the strong likelihood that the credit will be renewed. In the past it wasn’t clear if the policy would be renewed but currently the market is showing a strong expectation that it will be.
