In Canada, Ecoation Innovative Solutions has developed an artificial intelligence platform that monitors and estimates plant stress by non-invasively tracking biological and chemical processes, helping farmers and biofuel feedstock producers reduce losses. Along with the AI, the system uses a series of sensors as well as an automated apparatus for measuring. The company went out of stealth mode about 2.5 years ago and was recently awarded more than $100,000 as part of a start up ventures competition.
