In Washington, Reuters reports that refining companies are receiving hundreds of millions in savings thanks to hardship waivers under the Renewable Fuel Standard by the Environmental Protection Agency. It’s not just Andeavor’s $100 million in cost savings during 2016 and 2017, but CVR’s estimate of $23 million in 2018 costs compared to $249 million last year and $200 million previously estimated for this year, Delek’s $79 million in savings and HollyFrontier’s $71 million in savings.
