Brazilian hydrous ethanol demand hits July record

In Brazil, Platts reports that ANP data shows July hydrous ethanol demand hit a record high for any July at 1.55 billion liters, up 40% on the year, and also the highest seen since October 2015. Total demand for the year through July was also up 40% on the year at 9.6 billion liters. For July, data showed that about 92% of the demand came from the center-south region. Hydrous ethanol’s price parity against gasoline hit just 56.46% for the week ending August 25.
