Agri-Innovation Program will invest C$142,575 in Diacarbon Energy who are developing a project that will convert poultry litter and other organic wastes into biocoal for energy production as well as C$146,600 for GreenScene AgriTek who are developing technology to produce biofuel from waste horse bedding.

Vega reports progess on Georgia biocoal project

In Georgia, Vega Biofuels is currently working on the design, construction and implementation of a facility that will produce green energy bio-coal from timber waste in Cordele. Engineering firm Hunt, Guillot and Associates is responsible for the facility’s construction and will run the plant when it first opens.
