In Australia, “The Hydrogen Society of Australia,” originally created as an interest group, is now officially being relaunched as a national association. Their current projects include a hydrogen/ zero-emission highway, a zero-emission directory, and a hydrogen port project. The current President of the hydrogen society in Australia emphasized that Australia’s “remote communities, distributed energy networks, and the necessity for long-distance transport and haulage, mean we are a country that can benefit the most from the large-scale adoption of hydrogen as a fuel and energy backbone.”
