South Korea finalized its 10-year energy technology development plan, which hopes to reach 5,000kg of green hydrogen production per day by 2030

In South Korea, Business Korea has reported that the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy has finalized “The 4th Energy Technology Development Plan” which presents South Korea’s energy technology vision and R&D investment strategy for the next 10 years. The Ministry has stated that it will focus its efforts on 50 development goals set in 16 fields, which include but are not limited to clean power generation, hydrogen, advanced energy materials, energy storage, transportation efficiency, and big data. In terms of fuel cell power, they hope to have their systems operating at 60% efficiency as part of their 10-year plan. The ministry has set a goal of developing the necessary technology to produce 5,000 kg of hydrogen a day by raising the electrolysis rate to 80% by 2030.
