February 25, 2020 |

In the Netherlands, Germany and the Netherlands have come together to jointly investigate the possibilities for large scale production of green hydrogen. The two countries have commissioned a feasibility study— which is part of a trilateral project launched by the Dutch Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy—  for the creation of a transnational value chain for green hydrogen. The German Minister Peter Altmaier discussed the international role of hydrogen by stating that “The more we work here with the federal states and our European partners, the more we can set an example internationally.”
