In the United Kingdom, H2 View reported that a Hydrogen Taskforce has officially been launched that includes partners at the heart of the energy system such as Arup, Arval, Baxi, BNP Paribas, BOC, BP, Cadent, DBD, ITM Power, Shell, and Storengy. The coalition hopes to establish hydrogen stations in the UK by 2025 and would like the UK government to commit  £1bn to the expansion of hydrogen projects. The goal of the collective group is to capitalize on the opportunity to decarbonize cost-effectively as well as play a leading role in the global hydrogen market. Jacob Young, Chair of the Hydrogen All-Party Parliamentary Group stated that “It is clear that we cannot meet our Net Zero 2050 target without hydrogen technology.” He expanded on the benefits of this program by stating that “By taking the next steps and accelerating hydrogen development programs we can create thousands of new, skilled, green jobs and continue to lead the world in the hydrogen economy.”
