Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency approves $32.7 million fuel-cell installation
In New York, the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency announced that it has closed on the application for economic development incentives for Orbit Bloom Energy, who are seeking to develop 1.5 acres of vacant property for the installation of a fuel cell. The total cost of the six-megawatt fuel cell is $32.7 million, which will generate enough electricity to power 600 homes. The economic development incentives were approved by the Industrial Development Agency for a 20-year pilot.
