Palm Oil Futures Gain as Crude Oil Rallies, Malaysian Shipments Advance

In Malaysia, you have to wonder how the nation’s biodiesel mandate can possibly survive on the storm-tossed seas of a futures market where crude palm oil is pegged to crude oil. Production was close to zero in July, now exports for the first ten days of September are pegged at 396,684 tons and largely destined for biodiesel production.
