Thailand to boost biodiesel mandate to three percent

In Thailand, the energy ministry is ready to raise the mandatory biodiesel blend to 3% in April from the current 2% if there will be enough supply of crude palm oil available. The increased demand from the blending policy would require an additional 40,000 metric tons of CPO per day. The current policy expires on March 31 so a decision must be taken before then.
