Verbio’s sales grow 50% to $1.00 billion for 2011

In Germany, Verbio’s sales grew 50% during 2011 to reach $1.005 billion. The company is expecting first half 2012 sales to continue the growth trend and reach $533 million. It also plans to invest $200 million in its growing biomethane business, alongside its ethanol and biodiesel businesses. In March the company inaugurated a waste straw-to-biomethane facility and will invest in expanding existing facility as well as a new, waste material-based biomethane facility.
