Biofuels Digest Index tanks to 61.14 as global equities swoon

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plunged 2.31 percent to 61.14 on a global equities retreat.  For the day, Gevo (GEVO) dumped 8.40 percent to $5.56, while Rentech (RTK) fell 7.98 percent to $1.73. Among other equities, Ceres (CERE) plummeted 8.53 percent to $9.65. Overall, declines led advances 10 to 1 for the day.
