Bangkok buses will run three month B7 trial

March 27, 2013 |

In Thailand, the Bangkok Mass Transport Authority will test a B7 blend in 10 buses running the Min Buri-Nong Chok route beginning in April until June. PTT, who will supply the blended fuel, expects bus B7 demand could reach 45,000 liters per month. The Energy Business Department of the Energy Ministry is in the process of developing standards for B7 that will be used when the fuel becomes commercially available. Domestic stocks of palm oil have doubled in the past year and currently sit at about 400,000 metric tons.
