EPA data shows no D3 RINs through February and most D5s are imported

In Washington, the EPA says that no D3 cellulosic biofuel RINs were generated in January or February but more than 1.96 billion D6 renewable fuel RINs were generated during that period. Only 18,434 D6 RINs were produced from biodiesel. Nearly 82.39 million D5 advanced biofuel RINs from ethanol, with just 5.96 million D5 RINs produced domestically, while the remaining D5 RINs were produced from biogas and other non-ester renewable diesels.
