Shanghai buses to run on swill oil biodiesel from 2014

In China, 1,000 city buses in Shanghai will start running on biodiesel next year with fuel produced from swill oil, cooking oil so dirty and used that it can be toxic to humans. Restaurants have been found to use the swill oil because it’s cheap, with no other market for what is in reality waste. The city already has two small biodiesel production facilities.
