Mid-America Biofuel to finalize storage upgrade to 50 million gallons next week

September 29, 2015 |

In Wisconsin, Mid-America Biofuel’s biodiesel storage capacity expansion project is almost completed, with new facilities set to hold 50 million gallons, up from the 30 million gallons previously installed. Construction on the two new tanks began in October and should be finalized next week. The extra storage is meant to help support the boost in demand experienced between April and October compared to weaker demand through the winter. The farmer-owned joint venture with ADM processes local soybeans into biodiesel.
