US ethanol production steady at 15.07 billion gallons rate, as stocks rise

In Washington. according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 978,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 41.08 million gallons daily. That is down 9,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 983,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 15.07 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 23.3 million barrels. That is a 3.0% increase from last week and the largest total on record. Imports of ethanol were nonexistent for the 12th straight week.Gasoline demand for the week averaged 395.3 million gallons (9.411 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 878,000 b/d.

Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.39%.
