ICM reports major efficiencies achieved with use of its patented Selective Milling Technology

June 1, 2016 |

In Kansas, ICM’s patented Selective Milling Technology™ (SMT™) has shifted from a new technology to a proven process at approximately 15% of the ethanol plants in the U.S. and has allowed them to produce more than 300 million gallons of ethanol since the original installations.  From the earliest adopters to current customers, the SMT™ process produces an increase yield of over 45 million gallons per year of ethanol production as well as an increase of over 30 million pounds per year of corn oil.  At current values for ethanol and corn oil, the SMT™ process generates over $85 million of additional revenue annually for ICM SMT™ customers.
