Argentina boosts ethanol prices further for E12 mandate

In Argentina, to ensure compliance with the 12% ethanol-blending mandate, the government has raised sugarcane ethanol prices to 91 cents per liter, up 5% from February and nearly 30% from February 2016. Corn-based ethanol was increased more than 42% on the year to 87 cents per liter, though it is slightly lower than the price set for February. December ethanol production rose more than 19% on the year to 85,736 metric tons while consumption rose more than 20% to 92,932 tons.
