August 27, 2018 |

In Oregon, NEXT Energy Group detailed plans to develop a $1.1 biofuel facility at Port Westward that would produce 37,500 barrels of renewable fuel per day including aviation biofuel. A development and lease agreement for about 80 acres with the port commissioners is taking place and could be finalized in the next few months but the area’s zoning is still being finalized at state level. The facility intends to use waste oils and animal fats as feedstock that would be shipped in by barge and fuel would be barged out.
