Ethanol production inches back up but stocks still fell last week

September 11, 2019 |

In Washington, DTN reports that Energy Information Agency data shows that ethanol production moved up from a 21-week low last week, producing an average of 1.023 million barrels per day. An increase in production of about 10,000 barrels per day didn’t offset the drawdown on stocks, which fell by more than 1.3 million barrels from the previous week to just about 22.5 million barrels. East Coast region supplies fell to the lowest level in 68 weeks while Gulf Coast stocks fell to a five-week low. West Coast stocks grew, however, to similar levels as last year.
