Biofuels Digest Index reaches new four-month high of 68.05

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 1.19 percent to a new four-month high of 68.05. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) jumped 1.76 percent to $32.95, while in the oil sector Valero (VLO) gained 1.47 percent to $17.24. Among other equities, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) soared 15.52 percent to $1.34 as ethanol margins continue to strengthen. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
