Hart's Global Biofuels Outlook projects 133% growth by 2020

In Texas, global biofuels demand is projected to grow by an 133% between 2010 and 2020 – primarily by government policies and market mandates, according to Hart’s annual Global Biofuels Outlook, 2010-2020: Projecting Market Demand by Country, Region and Globally. The study captures the biofuels supply and demand picture in 35 countries, in four key global regions.

Leading the way in global ethanol demand expansion are Brazil and the U.S., followed by China, Japan, UK and Germany. On the biodiesel front, Hart projects that Brazil, India, Spain, Argentina, Indonesia, Germany and the United Kingdom will experience significant demand growth for biodiesel by 2020.
