Peugeot Citroen asks EU to make B10 biodiesel a centerpiece of renewables strategy

In France, PSA Peugeot Citroën and the Fédération Nationale des Syndicats d’Exploitants Agricoles (FNSEA), have commenced partnership discussions aimed at the production of biofuels. PSA officials urged the EU to make B10 biodiesel a centerpiece of the overall strategy to reach its renewables targets.

“Internal combustion engines will still represent 85 per cent of the market in 2020,’ said PSA Peugeot chairman Philippe Varin. “Biofuels, combined with the innovative technologies that we are developing, should help us to reach Europe’s ambitious objective.”
