EPA, POET reach concord over ethanol emissions remedies

In South Dakota, the EPA has reached agreements with POET, James Valley and Northern Lights over Clean Air Act violations at ethanol plants in Groton and Big Stone. The EPA says James Valley, Northern Lights and POET have agreed to a $150,000 fine, and Dakota Ethanol will pay $75,000 under a separate agreement. The plants are also working to remedy their emissions.
