October 15, 2010 |

In Sweden, Kuwaiti oil company Q8 has inaugurated its first biofuel station for heavy trucks as part of the EU-funded project CleanTRUCK. The project runs through 2013 in partnership with Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, AGA Gas and the City of Stockholm to install pumps with special 95% ethanol blends for heavy engines. The fuel is the same that is used by Scania’s ethanol-based bus fleet in cities across Sweden as well as in other countries. In Stockholm, 10% of vehicle traffic is with trucks.
