Perdue to supply feedstock, market co-products for Maryland ethanol plant

October 19, 2010 |

In Maryland, Bionol Clearfield, LLC and Perdue BioEnergy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perdue AgriBusiness Inc., have entered into an agreement to have Perdue supply feedstock and sell co-products for Bionol’s 110 million gallon per year ethanol plant in Clearfield.

Under the terms of the agreement, Perdue BioEnergy will supply approximately 40 million bushels of corn as feedstock for the Clearfield plant. Perdue plans to buy as much as possible from local farmers and will import the rest from the Midwest. Perdue will also market the 385,000 short tons of DDGS to nearby Pennsylvania dairy, turkey and chicken operations as well as to international markets.

Bionol’s parent company, BioEnergy International, LLC invested more than $200 million in the facility which opened its doors in December 2009.
