STA UK develops pyrolysis technology for plastics-to-diesel

In the UK, STA UK is developing 10 small-scale waste plastics-to-diesel plants utilizing pyrolysis with the first set for Port Laoighise, Ireland. Fractional distillation of the pyrolysis gases to purify the diesel. The plastic is pyrolized at 370 ºC-420 ºC and the pyrolysis gases are condensed in a 2-stage condenser to produce a low-sulfur distillate.
