D1 Oils to spin-off R&D arm as Quinvita

In the UK, D1 Oils has decided to spin-off its Belgium-based research and development arm known as D1 Oils Plant Science. The new company, to be called Quinvita, will remain in Belgium and focus on jatropha-based consultancy and licensing deals for its technology and research. The spin-off is subject to a shareholder vote to be held on Dec. 10. D1 expects to receive support for the move.
