Fitch says ethanol tax credit may spur over-capacity

In New York, Fitch Ratings has concluded that Archer Daniels Midland will be able to survive as an ethanol producer even if the 45 cents-a-gallon blender credit for ethanol isn’t renewed at the end of the year.  If the blender credit stays, Fitch says there’s a risk there may be continued over-capacity next year.
