Spectrum acquires E3 Biofuels ethanol plant in Nebraska, will re-start

In Nebraska, Spectrum Business Ventures has acquired the assets of the closed 25 million gallon E3 BioFuels ethanol plant in Mead, and said that it will  reopen the facility next year. The $90 million plant shut down after an accident on the property and never operated at full production. The company’s technology includes anaerobic digesters that process cattle manure into energy for plant operations, while the distillers grains from ethanol processing is used as cattle feed.
