December 26, 2010 |

In Canada, the Manitoba city of Brandon has indicated that it will sell its biodiesel processor and abandon plans to enter into recycling of waste grease as a fuels feedstock. City officials said that permitting requirements would double the proposed investment from $50,000 to $100,000 and made the biodiesel prodcution move uneconomical. In addition, concerns were raised about how much fuel could be used in the city’s fleet while its transit buses were still under warranty.
