Noble points out differences from competitors– buying cane processing facilites outright

In Brazil, Noble says it is different from its competitors because it buys its cane processing facilities outright rather than creating JVs with local producers. The company has four years of cane-growing experience which it believes is enough to go it alone. Cerradinho, who sold two mills to Noble this month, previously spent four months negotiating with BP for a 50% stake in the cane company.
