Biofuels Digest Index sheds 2.02 percent to 85.39 on broad renewables slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, shed 2.02 percent to 85.39, the biggest one-day drop in more than two months. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) plunged 1.97 percent to $32.76, while SunOpta (STKL) dropped 5.87 percent to $7.05. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) skidded downwards 6.71 percent to $31.13 after another downgrade after the recent strong run-up in the stock’s price exceeded the price targets of more analysts. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
