India ethanol blending policy in disarray

In India, five of the eight members of the experts committee assigned with devising the country’s ethanol blending policy have refused to sign off on the report that was sent to the petroleum ministry. The sugar industry doesn’t believe the committee should take availability into account when determining prices, but it seems the committee thinks otherwise.
