On the Move in Biofuels: Proterro, REN 21

The REN21 Steering Committee (Renewable Energy Global Policy Network for the 21st Century) appointed of Christine Lins as Executive Secretary of REN21, effective 1 July.

Alternative biofuels expert Doug Cameron of Alberti Advisors has joined the Board of Directors of Proterro Inc, developer of fermentation-ready sugar feedstock enabling economical biofuels and chemicals production.  A former managing director and CSO at investment bank Piper Jaffray and CSO for venture-capital firm Khosla Ventures, Cameron has received industry recognition for his contributiona to furthering the deployment and commercialization of biotechnology to produce fuels and chemicals from renewable resources.
